Pros

People seemed nice at first.

Cons

Company situated me with a client at about $15,000 below what I usually make and at the worst company I've ever worked at. When I left that company they delayed paying me my paycheck in a timely manner which caused me significant financial distress.

Sorry you feel your experience with OpenArc was less than satisfactory, we are dedicated to our employees and strive to provide the best customer service possible to our candidates and clients. Prior to submitting a candidate to any client, we discuss the client in detail with the candidate and encourage/expect the candidate to review the client on their own. Once this occurs their resume and salary requirements are reviewed, discussed, and agreed upon by the candidate and the Technical Career Advisor at OpenArc. Following this pre-screening we get a final confirmation from the candidate that they are interested in the company, agree to the compensation expectations, and understand the parameters of employment including commute working hours etc... Once those decisions are made the candidate goes through an interview process where the client determines if the candidate has the skills and is a good fit, and the candidate determines if the position and company are a good fit. Finally when an offer is made the candidate has the opportunity to consider all of the information that has been presented to them and mike a final decision as the whether to accept employment. While we certainly hope that every candidate absolutely loves every opportunity OpenArc provides for them, we understand that not every individual will ultimately be successful. This is why we ensure each candidate is provided as much detail as possible throughout the process in order to make the decision of accepting an offer that is presented. If after reviewing an organization, submitting a resume, interviewing, receiving an offer, and ultimately accepting an offer a candidate believes that it was the worse company they ever worked for, we would encourage you to spend more time in the future throughout the process determining if the organization is a fit. We would rather not send a resume, end a process early, or decline an offer than to have a dissatisfied candidate and client after an offer has been accepted. OpenArc complies with all applicable laws and regulations regarding issuing timely paychecks. In any situation where a delay could occur, we are in contact with the employee to ensure prompt delivery of their paychecks. We welcome any additional feedback you may have and encourage you to contact us to work through any misunderstandings.

Pros

Software development team were great people to work with. The Talent / Staffing group continues to be profitable, and is keeping the company afloat.

Cons

There is NO leadership, with consistent issues between the owners, which creates unnecessary stress and unease for the employees. Managers are not empowered. SD group has declined from 40+ employees in Jan 2016 to less than 10. The culture has been decimated. Benefits offered are below par. No marketing department, no real QA resources, and HR is a revolving door, as they are on their 3rd HR person in 2017.

Thank you, sincerely, for posting your thoughts on what it takes to be successful in your "advice to management". I will take it on faith that you truly are interested in making OpenArc a great place to work and are honestly offering your thoughts on where we should focus. So, thank you. You will be happy to know that we have been investing in office improvements, that pay and benefits continue to rise quickly, and that we continue to make having a great culture a focus. It's hard to know how to best respond to the factual errors in your post. I guess it's not surprising that you wouldn't know how many employees there are in SD, though a little surprising how far off you are. Let's just leave it as this: I appreciate your concern for OpenArc, and your anonymously offered advice. I will very happily buy you lunch anytime if you'd like to learn more about what's happening at OpenArc nowadays. Call or email me - you don't even have to refer to this post. I sincerely believe you would be encouraged. OpenArc’s CEO
