The company's Owner/President shares personal HR information with other employees and his friends, creating a culture of favoritism and lack of accountability. Certain employees, due to their personal relationships, are not held responsible for their actions and are given free passes, even when they make mistakes and shift blame onto others.
It's disheartening to see new employees earning more than those who have dedicated their time and effort to the company. When this issue is raised, it's met with dismissive responses and even fabricated excuses for the lack of a raise.
Working in such a toxic environment can lead to a psychological condition known as Stockholm syndrome, where employees start to sympathize with and defend the very people who are mistreating them. This is a serious issue that needs to be addressed.
For instance, the service manager enjoys making fun of employees' work performance or personal traits when he is with the President and other friends at the company. This behavior is not only unprofessional but also creates a hostile work environment.
When you go to HR about issues, you will be outcasted, and they will make you want to leave the company to find work. They promise advancement with no clear path to advancement. They hire people who have failed criminal background checks. The work environment is very toxic, and I would not apply here. Ownership talks badly about customers and has treated them with legal action when they speak badly about the company. Ownership is jealous of other competitors in the business and talks back about them. Because the people working at the company are dating and having kids together, they will throw you under the bus to save themselves even when they make mistakes.
