Avoid working at OnePilot at all costs based on my experience or at least think twice before you decide.
Pros
None to be honest the only thing I could think of is the manager assigned to us.
Cons
I’m not usually someone who writes reviews, but my experience working at OnePilot has been extremely disappointing. I joined them as a freelancer with a contract stating $5 per hour. While the rate is already low, I accepted it. However, things quickly became problematic. The training process was disorganized and inconsistent—you’re constantly jumping between topics with no clear structure. On top of that, the training is unpaid, and we only had a single 2-hour session before being expected to handle tickets on our own. Whenever we faced issues, the only support system was posting questions in a Slack group and waiting for another agent to respond. There was no proper guidance or supervision. During the first month, despite having an hourly contract, we were paid per ticket instead. After raising this issue with management, they corrected the invoice—but the final payment was still lower than expected. In my second month (March), I worked extremely hard and even took on extra hours at my manager’s request. In total, I worked around 180 hours. For that amount of work, I was paid only $378, which is far below what it should have been. To make matters worse, my manager is currently on vacation, and the person in charge is completely unresponsive. I’ve sent emails and received no reply. I haven’t logged in for the past three days because I’m still waiting for clarification, hoping things will be resolved when my manager returns on April 7. Overall, this has been the worst experience I’ve had with a remote job. I would strongly advise anyone considering working at OnePilot to think twice.
