A certifiably narcissistic CEO (who if you asked him, would probably laugh and agree with you) who spent his first few months in the job removing all benefits and making a third of the entire company redundant. The treatment of those affected nothing short of disgraceful. Fast forward a few more months and we’re told we’re rebranding (again …) those of us left, bewildered and deflated. The same senior managers who’ve been making a complete hash of it up to now promoted, the same directors who’s recent decisions on, for example, acquisitions, have been nothing short of laughable, killing perfectly good products replacing them without a shred of due diligence with ones that are hopeless … or not at all … giving customers no choice but to leave … it’s beyond bewildering. The Townhalls are soulless, patronising and perfunctory. All in pursuit of SaaS? There isn’t a single senior manager / director who seems to know what that even means, just blagged and googled their way up the greasy pole to make it sound like they do. They are already haemorrhaging both customers and talented staff through attrition, I predict a post new year exodus. Scroll your way through the blatantly fake reviews posted by a panicked marketing team … If you work here, leave, and quickly … A year to 18 months from now, Advanced will be broken up and sold off by the same disgruntled private equity firm who payed way over the odds for them in the first place. A tragic tale of breath taking arrogance and systemic miss-management of the basics has left Advanced in no-man’s land.
