Not a very friendly environment.

Where do I begin? For an accounting firm, it's pretty dramatic. You never know one day to the next what you will be faced with. One day you're doing a great job and the next, you're accused of padding time, or making stupid mistakes and hauled into meetings where you have to justify your existence. Too many meetings like that. For an office of 20 people, the amount of those meetings was ridiculous. Pay was meh. And unchanged even after 2.5 years. Even with significantly expanded responsibilities. Lots of turnover. People were let go soon after starting. Like not even a week. It was very confusing.
