High-turnaround for a reason

Pros

Great benefits; medical, dental, and vision. Paid vacation time and holidays. Hybrid meant 3 days working in-office and 2 days working from home. The company provides you with a work laptop.

Cons

This company was great to work for while it was under Ben Chodor. The new CEO, Nimesh Dave has completely changed that. Notified is one of many services under the Intrado/West umbrella. Under Nimesh's control, the company continues to cut corners wherever possible. This includes consolidating as many services they provide and assigning additional tasks such as customer service and sales to editors who are already swamped with major press releases. Employees are consistently compared unfairly to one another. Managers expect an editor with 3 years of experience to produce the same quantity and quality of product as an editor who has been there for 10+ years. The burnout is consistent and strenuous.

Great Leadership and Culture, Benefits Lag Behind

Pros

The leadership team is open, transparent, and genuinely values employee feedback. The culture is positive, inclusive, and supportive, making it easy to collaborate and feel connected. There's a strong emphasis on innovation, with encouragement to take initiative and explore new ideas. Recognition is also a key part of the culture—employees are regularly appreciated by both peers and managers, which builds motivation and a strong sense of belonging.

Cons

While the basic benefits are in place, the overall package could be more competitive. Enhancements in areas such as healthcare, retirement contributions, and wellness perks would better reflect the needs of a modern workforce and help in attracting and retaining top talent.

Thank you for your very positive review. Our Business Development Rep team has incredible team spirit and a critical part of our company! We appreciate your input. In response to your con, we believe in rewarding our sales team on their efforts and have uncapped commissions for our BDR team. The sky is the limit on annual earnings.

Pros

- Great Top Level, C-level, E-level support. - Great PEOPLE. Camaraderie here, even for remote workers is good. - High level of commissions compared to competitors (Cision/PR Newswire and Business Wire). - Excellent support services - client services, IT, etc. - Higher base salaries and commission opportunities than their competitors (Cision/PR Newswire, Business Wire).

Cons

- benefits are relatively expensive and are mediocre. They could be doing better here. - Some managers here lack training and product knowledge and hurt more than help. - There is a month long training program to start but it is primarily self-guided with videos with little guidance. You have to ask your manager(s) and if they're busy, you get little to no help. Especially if they don't know what they are doing themselves. There is a new hire chat/group but if you don't get it, you're lost. There is no active trainer. Even if you're coming from a competitor, how and WHAT is sold here is different for all three major players. - Expectations are sky high, especially if you're an experienced or tenured rep. The pressure to produce is immediate. And if you don't, they will throw you onto a PIP. - A manager being incompetent, inexperienced and simply unable to lead does not excuse poor performance. - Poor hiring practices. It shouldn't take 6-7 interviews to hire that person. If hired, there is little support with training and then you end up rushing that person out if they struggle. If you're gonna invest in people do it the right way.

Pros

I enjoyed the team I worked with and loved how everyone could come together even when working under horrible circumstances and unfair parameters. I only gave it 2 stars based on the employees I loved and stayed to be around who made working with Notified remotely tolerable.

Cons

Management changed their minds almost daily, new requirements almost daily. I didn't appreciate the micromanagement of the new manager and crude attitude he provided to the entire team. Created a horrible working environment where people were afraid to speak up. I put caution in the title as it does depend on the role and where you are placed, but if you pay attention to the tenure and how long it takes to move up and who moves up based on "performance"... There are people who have been there for years promised promotion and have gotten pushed to the back. You may be talked down to or treated like you have no common sense or ability to think on your own here. Don't take my word for it, but every employee I have spoken with post leaving or in the middle of my tenure have shared almost similar experiences. Very toxic environment and I stand by this.

Employee wellness and health

Recommend
CEO approval
Business outlook

Pros

I know the health insurance offerings through our providers are not THE BEST EVER, but everyone should know that the supervisors and managers are so supportive of individual employee health and wellness. I have some serious health issues and at one point I contemplated whether I could continue to work at all. Most employers would have said goodbye. But my management, with the guidance of my physicians, offered some amazing solutions so that I could continue to be a productive part of the team.

Cons

For me, the "cons" were overshadowed by all the "pros"
