Pretty chill job if you like ice cream and desserts! Learned a ton about technique and the basics of working in a production kitchen. Got to wear headphones while I worked which was nice as some of the task are pretty repetitive.
Cons
Pay wasn't the best, and sometimes didn't have a ton of variety in what you did for the day.
The employees are so fun. There is music boping in the back of house while you're working. The owner is hands on and involved. They are generous, kind, incredibly ethical. They bring in snacks and food for employees, allow you to take breaks as needed, check in periodically to make sure you're feeling solid with your work. I have never been treated as well by an employer as i have here ever. I'm so impressed.
Cons
You are on your feet the whole time, which comes with restaurant work, but frankly like I said they allow you to take breaks as needed and like rest for a second. So I don't even see this as a drawback.
