where does one begin?! Extremely high turnover; the role is posted constantly due to poor retention. Virtually no training or onboarding new hires are left without guidance or support. Management is absent, disengaged, and unapproachable; leadership at every level lacks accountability. Team leads are inexperienced, often recent graduates who rely on favoritism rather than merit. Unrealistic performance goals paired with constant micromanagement. No opportunities for growth or development; career paths are non-existent. Work environment mirrors a call center, with relentless call volume and strict time tracking. Calls cannot exceed 15 minutes even when a client requires more support, you are instructed to end the call or call back. Poor customer service standards are enforced, prioritizing speed over genuine client assistance. No team meetings, coaching, or constructive feedback only negative oversight. CEO is completely absent and disconnected from employee or client realities. Employee well-being is disregarded; even basic needs like bathroom breaks are treated as inconveniences.

Not being able to find the talent that works well within our environment; passion, drive, energy, takes a challenge and turns it into an opportunity for growth, etc. Where are you? Please apply if you are out there.

Turnover rate is horrendous and even laughable at this point. The average tenure at Newtek went from over a decade to less than 10 months in less than a year. It's actually hilarious and HR is begging anyone with experience to come back. But, nobody is going to come back to a toxic workplace where the CEO cusses, verbally beats up on people, throws people under the bus, and doesn't take responsibility for his poor executive decisions. There are far too many negatives to get into at Newtek. But, I'll summarize it as, bad goals, bad work environment, bad management, no feedback (you have to write your own review), I read one review where they said the first thing you'll be ask is, "Can you do his job?" - this is hilarious because it was exactly the first thing that I was asked. I should have took that as a hint that Newtek is as rotten as it gets. What a joke of a company, a joke of a leader, and the "managers" working there are all inexperienced and will do whatever they are told. Worse executive team I have ever seen. They can't hold on to customers, and they can't get new customers because nobody at Newtek knows what they are doing. It's just a mess, where does Newtek get it's money from? Oh, just do a quick google search and you'll find that they didn't EARN their finances, it was taken from taxpayers dollars. So, exactly what happened is the mentality of the leadership to look for the next quick and easy buck. The next con. And, when you run a real company you can't look for schemes like that and it shows that Newtek is a hollow shell of people who are nobody, because the leadership is not a trailblazer, not an innovator, and the company suffers from it. Hope the authorities continues their investigations.

Working from home is acceptable, but seems to be discouraged

I worked at Newtek for a few years. I have no idea where these positive reviews came from. Company morale is awful. They’ll micromanage you and the funny thing is the people in charge are unqualified. The company lacks leadership. It’s almost as though they dream up these ideas and try to implement without any consideration for those who actually do the work. It’s a very toxic work environment. The way these people will speak to you is unprofessional and degrading. Be ready to work 7 days a week and they don’t ask, they’ll demand you do it.
