A great place to work that also cares about you as a person

Pros

NetworkOutsource is a close, friendly environment where I have had the opportunity to grow as a technician, Project Manager and person. They focus on a wide range of IT solutions and services, with departments in Field Service, Helpdesk, high end network monitoring and support, project management, sales and permanent on site client support. The management team does it's best to keep in touch with all of their employees and managers, finding the best fit for each individual based on their skill set, customer service skills, teamwork & work ethic. Communication is key at this company and they have also implemented new applications and platforms such as Slack, Box and IT Glue to further improve the necessary tools to hand off work efficiently from both department to department and employee to employee. Past that, this is a company that cares about you as a person as well. When it comes to work, there is a close level of management, but when a personal issue or crisis hits, the company is there for you, to help in whatever you need in time and support without questions on every minute and moment. They really care.

Cons

The downside? It is a very hands on and hectic environment at times due to the workload and expectations that employees will need to pick up new skills and experiences quickly. There are certain times of the year where the already fast pace picks up even further and management does expect everyone to rise to the occasion. If you are someone that wants to hide in the corner, do your own thing for 8 hours, go home and stay to yourself, this is probably not the place for you. But if you are someone hungry for new and difficult challenges, this is the cutting edge company you want to work for, always learning and adapting.

Pros

Good place to learn Good places around to eat

Cons

Terrible management Filthy workplace No morale Terrible location and parking - Working here was embarrassing, its set up in a garage - literally, on a very busy car shop road. The place is never cleaned and is visually displeasing. The bathrooms could seriously be considered health hazards. The management was the worst I have experienced in my career - and expect to be heavily micro managed. If you make the right friends and you have very low self worth this place might be for you, but if you're not extremely desperate I would pass.

Jack of all trades, master of none.

Pros

Almost everyone in the bottom two tiers of any department is great. Since they don't do any one thing great, you learn a great variety of things. You learn to many ways to avoid responsibility. You might have the possibility to get to know many types of people; even those that can determine your true worth. If you have prior experience, you feel good about yourself in how much more you know that the vast majority of people higher in the corporate ladder.

Cons

No sense of direction from management. No mentoring or guidance on how to do things right instead of getting by with zip ties and duct tape with a 500% markup (that might be an exaggeration in terms of actual numbers; the underlying sentiment is there). It's not who you are, it's who you know mentality in terms of permanent placement. No acknowledgement for your value to the company, it's how many company reunions you've been to, how much money you've generated, or whom you have a personal relationship that determines your value to the company. ABYSMAL health plan.
