      Too many chiefs not enough Indians

      BBQ on a Friday in summer!

      This company has a very high turnover of staff due to the high stress environment, lack of support from management and a very bad attitude from directors who are mostly directors by default, and really have no people skills or management training of any sort ,every department has a director far too many for size of company. They have one major client, Fred Olsen, who actually own Natural Power, and if wasn’t for them they would go under. They cannot win any contracts for servicing outside of Fred Olsen because they have huge overheads....The management are clueless and are ‘managers’ in name only. To sum up, Incompetent! On the surface they look good, marketing dept does a good job of that, but scratch the surface and it’s a disaster waiting to happen. Just recently almost killed a sub-contractor on a wind farm in North of Scotland due to incompetence and will be prosecuted by HSE and rightly so.

      Unhappy and unsettled workplace due to poor management

      Pros

      Colleagues at similar level were supportive and tried their best to work in very difficult circumstances. The head office is quiet and located in a lovely area. Should be easy to get a job here as no one else wants to be here.

      Cons

      Management are hopeless and don’t understand what their employees need. Pay grades are unfair and uneven across the business with people doing the same job having drastically different salaries. Low paid and benefits not great compared to other companies. Toxic atmosphere with the majority of staff being unhappy and looking for employment. Unprofessional and disorganised. People promoted beyond their capability making it difficult to produce quality.

      Casual dress code, good pay

      Cons

      Everything from senior management was smoke and mirrors, they'd say one thing and do another. Yearly review process was always changed so the goal posts were always moved that little bit further away. Just generally a poor environment to work in.
