Pros

Free food, happy hour, nice holiday party...um decent clients. Smart people (but it's not that unique of a quality) It's hard to think of things that were truly amazing. I guess that the people who last are really really hard working to the point that they'll give up their personal lives. They are upfront about this in the interview process so at least they have a tiny bit of self-awareness.

Cons

I know people have praised the tech but I found it to be buggy and never keeping up to performance standards in facebook's ads manager. The only amazing thing about the tech imo was the automation. Didn't care for how the management viewed the bottom line. I've never in my life worked for a company that was so anal about every dollar and cent in and out. You can be successful as a startup and not behave in that way. Attitude towards worklife balance. Again there will be long days in any company but no one should feel guilt ridden for wanting to leave the office at 6pm (more like 7..8..9pm and make sure your iphone is charged for late night calls). If i'm still working for someone and not myself, I'm leaving when I've completed my work. Face time is for the birds. There was a public shaming aspect to people not hitting performance metrics for clients. Putting them on the spot in large company meetings asking them to explain why daily spend was down a percent week over week. Really pathetic stuff.

Pros

The product itself is great, and there is a team of extremely smart and hard-working individuals. Free lunch, happy hours, stocked kitchen and unlimited vacation time and a generally good culture overall.

Cons

Performance is based heavily on what the ‘inner circle’ thinks of you, not so much on your actual numbers. Management is extremely detached and doesn’t seem to care about the retention rate plummeting, the lack of career growth for individuals, and overall really thanking anyone for their hard work in general. There is little to no communication about the state of the company which causes a general state of unease and panic in the office. Favoritism is rampant, resulting in some of the company being overworked and some of it not even showing up at all on the same pay scale.

We greatly appreciate your feedback. I’m glad to hear you think that the product is great and that you’re impressed by the passion and work ethic of your colleagues. Retaining talented employees is something we pay very close attention to. We always strive to make sure everyone feels appreciated for their dedication and hard work, but we likely still have room for improvement. I encourage you to connect with your manager regarding advancement opportunities within Nanigans, we’ve seen many folks over the years go from entry level roles to team leads. Also, communication is one of our highest priorities. From 2016 to 2018 many things have changed. One example, is we have much more frequent all-hands meetings where our CEO will take questions from the entire company and lay out our focus for the upcoming quarter.

Pros

Good product. Huge market given they are on built on FB's platform which is innovating and releasing new products at an unbelievable rate to keep users engaged.

Cons

Nanigans looks great from the outside looking in. If you are considering working here, I HIGHLY recommend reaching out to people who previously worked here to understand why they left. Lots of employees are leaving/have left within the last 6-9 months (go on LinkedIn.com and conduct a search with 'Past Company' Nanigans to see for yourself) Again, reach out to ex-employees on LinkedIn to get first hand information. I'll leave it at that.
