I have enjoyed my time working at NYSS. The company is committed to helping homeowners save money with solar, and I appreciate working with people who genuinely care about customers. The team environment is very collaborative, and leadership is open to feedback and focused on continuous improvement.

Cons

Like and growing company there are challenges and changes along the way, I have found that people are willing to work together to solve problems. It been rewarding place to work professionally while contributing to a meaningful mission.

I have had a great experience working here. The company has a collaborative, energetic culture where employees genuinely support one another and work well as a team. Leadership fosters a positive environment, and there are excellent benefits that demonstrate a commitment to employee well-being. Overall, it's a great place to grow professionally while being part of a supportive and engaging workplace.

I don't get in the office enough to enjoy the culture, but that's on me!

The operations team is stellar at what they do. A lovely Manhattan, Penn Plaza Building to work out of. Coworkers were kind, inclusive and fun to work with. Their CTO is one of the kindest people you'll meet.

Cons

The upper management and leadership of this company frankly are among the most unprofessional that I've had the misfortune of encountering. I have never seen a CEO, or upper management team have such disdain, disrespect , intimidation and cold indifference out of all of my experiences working in a professional field. Members of upper management have relationships with their subordinates or lower managemen. Show clear favoritism. The sales team will be treated like gold who have the personality profile of someone that's watched Wolf of Wall Street one too many times. They will change rules on the fly without notice and will apply rules only to people they don't like and allow the ones they do , to do whatever. Also the inflexibility of zero hybrid or remote work with 100% in office attendance makes no sense. They'll hire 5 managers but will balk at hiring actual useful operations staff or install teams. How can you trust HR when they're involved with upper management?
