      Ironic name, given that there are no nice people I worked with.

      Honestly, there are no positives to this company.

      Cons

      NPAW is utter chaos. There are no processes, on-boarding or training pratices in place. New employees are expected to execute large and unobtainable projects within short deadlines, without any prior training or support. Oh, and I arrived on my first day to find over 800 emails in my inbox, mainly spam emails or newsletters that I had been signed up to, without my consent. I came to NPAW to fill a role advertised for a native English speaker and yet I was given a laptop, keyboard and software to use which was all Spanish. I was receiving emails in Spanish and Catalan, making it difficult to work. Apart from the professional shambles, the culture is toxic. I was told that the company was international and that there would be many languages spoken and it was a great place for anyone to be. I soon learned this was not the case, and that people were only willing to speak Spanish at me, or around me in work and social situations, leaving me isolated from everything. When explaining several times that I was not yet conversational in Spanish or Catalan, people only shrugged and continued their conversations. I believe several members of the team are xenophobic and had no interest in welcoming me to the business. I don't believe that working here can help anyone develop professionally, or personally, employee welfare is non-existent and if you want to feel part of a valued team, then do not consider applying for a role here.

Based on our experience, it takes from 1 to 6 months for new employees to complete the onboarding plan to deliver results and be 100% autonomous. We understand the first week on a new position can be overwhelming and we do our best to accompany new members throughout this period of changes —by identifying goals with your direct manager, setting up a progressive working plan, and reviewing all tools available and eventual roadblocks. We will use your feedback to revisit and improve existing processes where needed. As part of our compliance policy, we do not provide any personal information from our employees without consent by any means. Privacy is very important for us and we are fully compliant with any privacy laws applicable in our country (GDPR, LOPDGDD). Under no circumstance, we would ever provide such info. If newcomers receive newsletters, it is simply because those are sent to the department distro the person is part of. Finally, we embrace diversity. NPAW team has grown from 30 to 90 people over the past 3 years, which today includes over 15 nationalities across all teams. English is our official language for all formal communications. However, Spanish, Catalan, French or Russian are also spoken languages in the office. We are proud of our open, transparent and welcoming team that is always happy to receive new members.       Promising Product, Disastrous CLevel Management

      Pros

      Enthusiastic, young, and welcoming team. Fast-changing environment where you learn quickly (for the better of for worse). Promising product with potential in the market since there aren't many companies dedicated to this specific target.

      Cons

      CX Level Managers are despot, tyrant, compulsive storytellers, with no respect for the employees. They tend to renege on their promises (salaries, bonuses, compensations in general, responsibilities). 0 reliability. 0 scruples. There is no company roadmap: daily work depends on the CEO mood (usually extremely bad). His language (in all possible channels: face to face, emails, chats, calls) includes swear words many times per day to refer to the employees, competitors and providers (among others). HHRR department is just few people working as recruiters not even knowing what is required for the offered job positions. Furtheremore, the inexperience of HHRR members, leads them to make a lot of mistakes with extremely important things such as payrolls, compliance with collective bargaing agreements. Reasons why? a) They do not care about current employees b) They have been instructed to procrastinate tasks related to current employees Either way, you have to, literally, chase after them to get answers regarding important employees' situations and compensations. Weeks, even months go by and no answers back. Expect NOTHING from them. Product Team does not exist. There is no manager or responsible since months ago. The department is in the hands of people coming from the Sales Department with no Product background or experience. That leads not to have Product Backlog / Definitions, Requirements, and according to their understanding working in sprints are not needed. Gender equality does not exist. Perfect example of Glass ceiling: salaries among female and male workers are significantly and noticeable different (they are not based on experience, responsibilities, performance reviews, feedbacks). Obviously, male salaries are way higher. While women have barely no compensation, men have carte blanche.

      Pros

      It is a good company for juniors who want to learn, grow, and leave after one year or so to get a better salary (NPAW's salaries are definitely below the market for developers). It also has a nice office and some amenities like ping pong and free beer. Good starting career kickoff to learn about SaaS analytics platforms.

      Cons

      The main problem regarding the company is its CEO. Terms like micromanagement, lack of respect, below-the-market wage, lack of roadmap/focus, or delusional deadlines will become part of your daily vocabulary in case you join the company. Be patient and take a deep breath, in a year or so and with a bit more seniority you’ll be able to join a better company and remember this experience with a “Nice” smile on your face. I’m with you. All of us ex-employees are. The main issue here is that nobody has the courage to tell the CEO a simple “no”. He thinks the company is his backyard and he can treat his employees as he pleases. Contradictory and arbitrary orders are a regular Tuesday-before-lunch thing. These problems are compounded by the fact that most of the VP or C-level employees are afraid of him (confronting him would mean probably getting fired or marginalized two months later) so they are fine dodging the flames and looking at their LinkedIn “VP”or “C-level” titles while waiting for their salaries. Smile, get Spotify premium, and noise cancelling headphones.
