      company is financially unstable layoffs as long term strategy lack of diversity at executive levels Board micromanages operations and makes horrible business decisions questionable staffing practices low pay; benefits that come and go

      Pros

      Rank and file staff can be wonderful.

      Cons

      Executive leadership is incompetent. Incredible lack of diversity in C-suite and questionable staffing decisions that, at minimum, have bad optics. Lack of any real strategic planning. Budget shortfall every single year, yet leadership does not change their way of doing business. Targeted layoffs have occurred multiple times. they are used to cover budget shortfalls b/c leadership can't think of a different way to guide the ship. just keep doing the same losing projects from year to year and laying off employees when the budget is yet again deep in the red at budget planning time. the employer contribution for employees' retirement was discontinued for the year 2021. thats how bad it is here.
