Pros

- Exposure to Fortune 500 firms and the professional services world - Will learn a lot quickly (sink or swim environment) - Sometimes get to work on interesting projects - Interesting/smart/kind young colleagues who are all equally dejected working there so it fosters a sense of camaraderie - Analytics training is provided to new employees

Cons

- Low compensation - Non-existent HR or internal support network which leads to inefficiencies - Not a lot of high-level analytics work being done these days, it's mainly reporting and BI grunt work - A common saying in the firm is "it's all gas", i.e. the company knows how to sell and deliver a good pitch to both clients and prospective employees but there's no substance behind it. Mu Sigma rarely successfully executes projects other than low-level 'analytics' (read: reporting) staff augmentation work -- even there it sometimes falters because of high turnover -- because it lacks the institutional expertise and organizational capacity to carry out major analytics projects. - The toxicity starts at the top. The CEO is a visionary who can be quite good at delivering a sales pitch but doesn't seem capable of human empathy nor the ability to take constructive feedback to improve the company. - No middle management to support and guide junior employees which leads to inefficiencies, shoddy deliverables, missed opportunities, and overall bad outcomes for the clients, employees, and the company. The company brags about the average age being just 23 years old, but the truth is you can't deliver high-quality work if all you have is neophytes googling how to do their jobs. - Unethical practices. Read other reviews for more info on this. - Ridiculously high attrition causes many problems. - Only join if you don't have any other option to get analytic experience on your resume, then start searching for an exit as soon as you start.
