A temp agency with heart

Pros

The employees I worked with at this agency (now called Uplift Northwest) were kind and often went above and beyond to make sure we got jobs and got paid for them when we were supposed to.

Cons

The only cons I can think of are that you aren't guaranteed a job just for showing up. You have to be in line very early if you want a day shift and even then, it isn't guaranteed.

Pros

Pay, helping the homeless community

Cons

Unorganized management and overworked lower tier employees. Many employees are great people but aren't suited to their positions and don't belong in them. Training is non-existent. Employees gain bitter attitudes towards homeless and seem to shame them for missteps even though they're struggling and learning.
