Pros

The coffee is good and the location isn't bad

Cons

Everything else is just horrible. Where to start? The CEO is a joke. One day he is walking around giving away concert tickets, the next day he scolds everyone because there is a pretzel on the floor. No one wants to work here and everybody who is here is looking for another job. The only people that get hired are those who are unemployed and need a paycheck. There are 1 or 2 decent managers here but they all walk around on eggshells because they never know when Tony is going to get upset and fire them. Turnover is ridiculously high. If you are desperate and need a job this is the place for you because they will hire anyone. If you have any other options don't even think about Microtech because you will regret it like the rest of us.

What a bitter and totally inaccurate review. Even if it were accurate why would it matter if people were unemployed before they were hired? Sounds like you believe unemployed people are not worth hiring? As far your character assassinations, you and I both know our Management Team is outstanding and your assessment could not be further from the truth. Your review of me is closer to the truth, but even that depiction is only half true. My reaction to someone dropping pretzels on the carpet in front of their cube and then grounding them into the carpet rather than picking them up did not sit well with me nor did it sit well with any of the other folks who share the space and complained that someone (you know who it was) was creating an eyesore. What you failed to talk about in your review is that in the last three months MicroTech has won numerous large contracts including one for $37B and that MicroTech has hired 30% more people to cover the increase in work! That does not sound like a sinking ship to me.

Pros

Always plenty to do. Hardly enough time in the day to find a free moment, in fact, with the amount of hours they want you to work.

Cons

Questionable ethical practices, horrible retention, refusal to give raises, no profit sharing, my-way-or-the-highway management style, continue to use your credentials on contracts long after you stop working there, all too frequent demands to do non-business related work or personal favors for the surly, churlish CEO. Throw a rock in DC and you'll hit ten people who hated working here.

Dear Anonymous Nightmare - Supervillian CEO, Questionable ethical practices, no profit sharing, are you serious? This sure sounds like sour grapes and taking to the gossip boards while going anonymous helps prove I am probably right. Regardless, we are glad you were once part of our team and we really hope you are able to find what it is you are looking for and please be careful with all those rock you are throwing we would not want you hurt anyone!
