      Culture is lacking, high turnover

      Pros

      Cutting edge metrology and interesting research being done at this location, decent benefits, and good location in Kirkland. Administration staff was helpful and competent.

      Cons

      There seemed to be a disconnect between what management say they want and what was actually expected. Team feeling was to a large extent absent. Lack of consistency and transparency, different standards for different employees. High turnover relative to company size.

      The only positive aspect were meeting a few great individuals.

      Cons

      The worst was the management team not firing people who were rude and brought the entire organization down.

      Pros

      Atmosphere, core values, consideration and team members. I have worked for several companies that claim they provide work-life balance, however, at Micro Encoder they make sure you have it. We have a very diverse team here and it is always fun to learn the interesting facts and hobbies each person has. Our Management team are all working managers, so they lead by example.

      Cons

      Hiring process is long, but I think that helps bring in team members who truly want to be here.
