Pros

Nice location, some good work mates

Cons

They talk a big game but it’s empty inside. Employees are miserable in this TOXIC environment. Some of the executives don’t know what they’re doing and others just don’t show up. They use the “unlimited vacation “ to their advantage and give their employees a hard time when requests are submitted for personal time. Run away as fast as you can. This place is terrible. Proof? All the upvotes this post will get. It will show that most employees are unhappy and just hanging around until they find a new gig and RUNNN!!!!!

Pros

Technology; customers love the solution. The results are tangible. The market needs what Mendix provides.

Cons

Cultural divide between Dutch founders and Rotterdam office with US. CEO involved in nearly every decision. Slows growth. Impedes progress. Go to market strategy flips back and forth.

Pros

Mendix has correctly diagnosed the problem with app development and offers a unique way to solve it. Anyone looking to build better apps, faster, cheaper while including more business users and delivering better apps to happier users...should not hesitate to invest. It's the best low code (AND no-code!!) platform on the market. Period. Mendix truly stands out from the pack by consistently delivering the most modern architecture, constant innovation, advanced mobile capabilities, and anticipates market trends well. It's game changing tech with a forward thinking CIO/dev team and a huge R&D budget. People are finally buying low code, and realizing it's not just about developer speed, so having the best all around product SHOULD be a great opportunity to gain market share...

Cons

Problem is...there's no clear GTM strategy, no ability to communicate internally, massive indecisiveness led by poor leadership. There is a lack of trust in leadership (who are not strong to begin with), low morale and an exodus of good talent. Leadership can not get out of their own way - to allow a market that is seeking low-code as a solution to their problems - to buy the technology. It is hyper-focused on process instead of focusing on customer journey and making it easy to buy. Mendix can't seem to react fast enough or invest the necessary resources in partner alliances with the big tech giants to distance Mendix from competition (which copies everything they do...but faster). I would seriously caution anyone exploring Mendix for employment. It's run by amateurs, ineffective leaders, and hilariously bad hires. They are very very good at missing opportunities and losing any edge they gain with a culture that is so absolutely toxic that no one hits their potential. Leadership is either blind to it, unable to change, or just don't have what it takes to inspire. Don't believe the glowing reviews (for sales at least)...RUN.
