Pros

Some flexible working in place with hybrid working. Mostly left to do the job you're paid to do

Cons

They advertise great staff benefits - but this is a lie - significantly less than what you get at other finance companies. They're a salary packaging company, but don't even offer decent salary packaging benefits to their staff. You can get a Novated Lease and I think possibly super, but that's it. There are no consequences for people who do the bare minimum and no rewards for people who exceed. Don't force introverts into.the office when they have proven to work extremely well at home. They keep sending out surveys on how they can improve, then want feedback on those surveys as to why staff have scored them so low, then every year without fail, they will make a bit of noise, say that they hear us all especially in regards to pay and rewards (we don't get performance bonuses), then every year everything goes quiet and nothing happens again.

Pros

- Work from home 60% of the time in a month (for now)

Cons

- Bonuses are miserable - Annual pay increases are nowhere near CPI - Some staff have second jobs outside of MMSG to get by - No matter what you do outside of your job description and how you exceed in it there is no reward, your efforts will be forgotten - Compulsory shutdown over xmas for 3 weeks, gives you one week annual leave to take between January and December to actually recuperate when you actually need it - Will not respect your ethnic background, want a break to see family overseas to celebrate an event of cultural significance, it will be unpaid leave because all used up over xmas - HR just like to tick boxes in regards to employee welfare. Take a blanket approach. Wouldn’t have a clue as to the general disapproval of their actions - Management reduced hours of staff during Covid-19, then start reporting massive profits following years. They don’t see and didn’t want to know financial impact on staff

Pros

Opportunity to learn more and grow if you're good in your job.

Cons

Overworked / underpaid. Negotiate a good salary before starting as salary rise after depends on who you know, not how good you are. You'll get a promotion with more responsibilities without the pay rise.
