Pros

Good benefits, reasonable pay, profit sharing

Cons

Worst possible case of micromanagement + CEO/manager delights in being tyrranical - hostile towards workers, causing friction and poor performance.

Good products, good people, unusual and restrictive rules

Pros

Maple Systems is the "Walmart" of HMI and related products. It has been in business for several years and the products & employees are respected.

Cons

The CRM is over 20+ years old and is a DOS based system (very poor!). Some of the policies & rules are bizarre. For example, employees wont find post-it notes with the other office supplies- they must be requested. Can't eat at your desk. Requesting to leave early for a doctors appointment requires the signature-approvals from three people.

Employee Ownership Not Workable

Pros

products have been in use for a long time. they are low cost, no frills very very basic

Cons

The CEO/founder hired only "yes men" and "yes women" who have no decision making or leadership skills. Our company is bound to be purchased by a larger company who will probably discard the current employees.
