Pros

The money and benefits are really good for the work you do.

Cons

Despite the benefits the constant need of management to treat people like dirt makes the job not worth it. They'll follow some policies while ignoring others. Will fire you for the smallest misstep. I worked there for 6 years doing twice the production quota while my co-workers were doing half that and management keep saying "we're doing something about it" for over 6 months. Despite my hard work I made one mistake and was tossed aside and terminated without a warning or write up. Co-workers are petty, lazy, vindictive and will do their best do get under your skin and get you fired. Like me.

Pros

Good benefits. Great brand, has potential

Cons

They worry about the looks of building but not the quality or even the employees who bust ass everyday. Newer employees are expected to kill themselves while older ones are lazy. If they don't like you they'll do anything to get rid of you.

Pros

Company has the vast resource of Stanley Black & Decker behind it, so the benefits are second to none.

Cons

There are a lot of people in leadership positions who are there because they know someone, not because of their merits, and conversely, many with merits who were either dismissed or severely under-utilized. Many in leadership roles are poor leaders who do not focus on efficient processes, and often ignore constructive ideas from employees, which leads to a lot of waste.

Pros

Good benefits Good people to work with

Cons

Lack training for people new to this type of industry. Communication is not good either. Everyone tells you that if you need anything to give a call, but when you call they don't pick up and/or it takes a day or two to get a ball back.

Pros

Opportunity to own your own business.

Cons

You are basically buying a job. Mac gave basic training on how to sell features and benefits, but gave no support or training on how to run a business, which is what was sold when signing up as franchisee. Low percentage approvals for the extended credit program. Extremely high failure rate for new franchise owners. Stay away! They only care about selling YOU a route. They are perfectly happy selling someone else that same route in a year or two when you fail. BTW - I chose to leave after 7 years, my business didn't fail. I was just sick watching good people lose everything.

Pros

Benefits were great - company truck, gas, phone, home internet paid for, per diem when travelling over night. Working with franchise owners was fun. You'll wear many hats and face many challenges in this role.

Cons

Company culture in the field can be toxic, excessive drinking, immaturity. Work-life balance isn't a thing. You'll be asked to work 12-14 hour days before driving 3+ hours for your next work day, rinse and repeat. I witnessed lots of marriages end at this company.
