Wannabe company

Pros

pretty flexible schedule and sometimes let you work out of different offices.

Cons

The company is very dry with no culture. No good benefits or perks. Communication is pretty bad between different offices, departments, people in high up positions. Sometimes hostile environment. Executives are very secretive and don't share much information to the rest of the team (start ups are supposed to be open with their colleagues). The French people keep to themselves and make themselves seem better than the US employees (this is what I've observed). If you're new to the tech space and want to grow your career this is definitely not the place.

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us feedback! We are glad that you enjoyed the flexibility and travel opportunities that LumApps provides employees. We recently increased the size of our HR team, enabling us to strengthen our focus on company culture, employee engagement, career pathing, and benefits offerings, so your comments provide helpful insight into areas of opportunity. We have created a Culture Committee comprised of employees in the US, France, UK, Japan, and Australia to strengthen our cross-cultural communication and embed our corporate values into everyday practice. We are sorry to hear that your experience with LumApps was not everything you hoped it would be, but we wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.

Pros

I love coming into work each day. My coworkers are very nice and smart, and everyone is focused on achieving the same goals. The benefits are solid, you can converse in many different languages, the company offers a ton of travel opportunities, and there's a lot of room for growth. My boss is very understanding, lets me work from home whenever I need to, and cares about me as a person.

Cons

Since LumApps is a start up, the environment can be a little chaotic with evolving goals and continuous growth, but I think that's common. If you are someone that needs a lot of handholding, this won't be the best environment for you - you will get training and then be expected to perform and prove your worth.

Worst experience ever

Pros

Well there were none except for the old first employees who act like kings. Founders are very tight with money so make sure to negociate your salary because there are zero benefits when you get in, not even a bottle of water.

Cons

Management is very young and unexperienced. The hierarchy is very chaotic.

Pros

There are a few good people that are extremely talented that are overworked and should really move on

Cons

Shockingly different than the picture painted in the interview process. US employees are treated as 2nd class citizens and are considered expendable since France employees are protected. Sort these reviews by location and you will see the glassdoor reviews confirm this ( I wish I did this before I joined). It is all shiny object chasing based on the whims of senior leadership with no regard for long term strategy(even if you spent months building one). Under-resourced with unrealistic expectations abound. Company is cheap and will nickel and dime you. Travel policy forces you into crap hotels. Benefits are weak at best in the US. Do yourself a favor and find a place that is less toxic unless you live in France and are protected. Then you might have a nice experience until the company folds from mismanagement.

Pros

Solid benefits New PTO policy Travel for sales and onboarding on-site

Cons

-Washed up AEs that are picky about deals they’ll entertain, which ultimately effects compensation. Saw two 750k deals meetings were held for go down the drain because of this. -grind culture without a break. During a holiday week when we got a ton of OOO messages, we were told to grind harder instead of recharging after the last quarter. -management making uninformed decisions -weak tech stack -because of all of these factors, it was pretty easy to burn out here

Pros

- Nice salary and flexible remote policies (if the managers allow it)

Cons

I recently left Lumapps and wanted to share my experience on Glassdoor. While the company had some positive aspects, including nice benefits and a few talented colleagues, there were also significant issues that should be addressed. The culture was toxic, with favoritism and politics playing a large role in decision-making. Emotional blackmail was also used by some managers to get their way. Additionally, HR sometimes forced employees to adopt certain attitudes, even if they were uncomfortable or went against their personal beliefs. I believe it's important to provide honest feedback on Glassdoor, both to help potential new hires make informed decisions and to encourage companies to address their shortcomings.
