Pros

Great conventions to network with people. Cowboys games get really busy. Easy to get promoted because no one stays long.

Cons

This hotel is absolutely dead when there are not conventions or cowboys games. Most of the traffic is during convention season and those can be a hit or miss at any hotel. When there is other traffic it is during football season for cowboys home games which isn't even every week. Expect to be forced to work more than 8 hour shifts, even if you do not want to. I have had multiple shifts over 8 hours with NO break which HR claims is something that should never happen. However, it happens very often. The cafeteria is only open until 8pm and if you come in later you should be able to order food for free through the IRD kitchen, yet that kitchen also provides for the lobby. Which can be very busy so even if you have the time to take a break, forget getting food. They took away the discount and the option to order food off the regular menu. I have never worked anywhere that has done this. New management is extremely rude probably because they are also already being overworked. The turn over rate is very high to no surprise which is a big red flag. The money is not worth all the bs. On days where it is busy there are 10-13 bartenders working for the entire day and the tips are pooled for the entire day. (MAYBE) I actually have no idea how the tips work because I have also heard they are tipped pooled for the entire week and divided by hours. There is no real way to track how much money you should be making per shift.
