      Pros

      Great medical benefits, pension waiting at the end of the road, mechanical accruing of time off, nice balance of personal time and work.

      Cons

      Who on earth works forty years in a job anymore? The pension is excellent for those who stay. Unfortunately, working your entire life in one cube is not living.

      Pros

      Time off - employees may take long breaks and lunches and not fear being reprimanded.

      Cons

      I concur with the last two entries. There is often very little or nothing do, and no one seems to care. Walking around the office, it is routine to find staff, including professional staff, shopping on the internet.

      Pros

      Great people, great benefits, great work/life balance; overall good mission; nice work environment...(You know, I was going to blow this off until I saw the horrific reviews for the Gates Foundation and realized I owe it to the community to contribute!)

      Cons

      More advancement available at lower levels, a bit harder to move up or get anything other than generic raises after you start. And like any government entity, it has its share of bureaucracy, but you deal with it, it's pretty much in its place, not going to go away, but generally manageable.
