Peer managers act like children. Talk about each other behind each other’s backs, it’s very high school. The work load is ridiculous at times. Communication from the top is a joke. They will have you rush to complete a store set by Thursday then start a promo Friday that forces you to rearrange everything you just set. They have trained the clients not to shop unless their is an entire store promotion. If you aren’t running one don’t expect to make your week. The credit card is a nightmare. They expect you to push it on everyone but the truth is the interest rate is terrible and commenity the creditor is a disorganized mess. So even when you manage to sign someone up you actually feel bad for doing it to them. The DMs do little to support store managers and favor managers based on inscrutable or personal reasons not based on performance. The pay for sales associates and especially sales leads is laughable. They want to give sales leads all the responsibility of a manager with a dollar raise.

Handled COVID horribly. Lied to public that employees were getting paid scheduled shifts despite forcing managers to cut hours on the official shift schedule, so in reality only full time employees were paid. Pushed for credit card sales. Unrealistic goals set by upper management.
