      Be leery - promising science but challenging, dictatorial environment

      Interesting, promising science and assets and programs

      Cons

      Challenging, dictatorial environment. Everything is driven by CEO, down to any hires. Employees are expected in office 5 days a week. Lots of focus on marketing/external messaging but not much resourcing, support and rigor on actual development activities of assets. A number of unhappy employees with higher than expected turnover and challenges to hiring given strict in-office requirements.

      Employees are super smart and nice.

      Cons

      Dictator CEO that needs to make all decision. Have to go into the office 5 days a week. 15 PTO that includes sick days. No 401k matching.

      - interesting science, nice teams, some very smart and good people here - potential to help a lot of patients with a promising therapy - east bay location convenient to commuters who don't want to take the Bay Bridge into SF - if you enjoy going in to the office in person 5x a week you will absolutely thrive here and the execs will all LOVE you!!

      Cons

      - CEO is monomaniacal about rear ends in seats present in the office on site 5x a week. Was very tough to recruit for my team and we kept losing good hires to other competitors who were more flexible about remote work. in today's workforce economy you need to at least be hybrid to attract the top talent. Overall retention was incredibly hard due to this policy and employee churn was higher than anywhere I've ever worked. - personally I felt there weren't enough good places to eat lunch near the office

      Dominic is no longer the CEO, needs to be updated to current CEO Peter Maag; reading the negative comments about CEO (which by the way I agree with) Dominic's name should not be associated with that.

      honestly none, very toxic company

      - very toxic ceo, peter maag - ceo is rude, doesn’t know how to speak to employees - doesn’t treat employees like humans - HR doesn’t stand up to ceo - interview process and job postings misleading would not recommend this toxic environment to anyone

      Pros

      Incredible employees with a shared vision. So much passion for the mission and now an exciting leadership announcement with our new CEO joining two weeks ago. This company is at the forefront of some amazing science and I highly recommend the journey.
