Pros

Kirby Risk carries the top lines in the industry and is a well known distributor in the midwest. As an Account Manager, it is easy to get in to see customers rather then trying to make cold calls, etc. The factory and manufacturer representatives are strongly encouraged to work with Kirby Risk personnel, so it is easy to get their attention and make sales calls with.

Cons

No longer a family atmosphere. There seems to be a lot of people who are only looking out for themselves and don't mind pushing someone aside to make themselves look better. Management listens to outside sources and acts on information without going to the person in question to find out details.

Pros

Benefits Work Environment is very good. Easy to get along with co-workers. Accessible and Good Supervisor. Willingness to communicate. Manageable Workload. Never too stressed out to do you job. Always have enough to do, never inundated/swarmed.

Cons

Pay - definitely not up to par for our industry. Management needs to do research, although they do have the upper hand due to the economy when determining pay, a modest attempt to match the industry standards would be nice.

Pros

Co-workers are great, decent starting paid vacation/pay

Cons

There is little to no training given after being hired. The managers constantly hire people who have no computer knowledge when 99% of their job is done on a computer. Office politics have taken over the work place, if you're friends with upper management you can do anything/get anything you want. There are way too many managers and not enough workers. If they spend their budget on paying their employees more instead of useless things like trips, bonuses for management, and giving preferred employees any thing they request they'd be better off. Some employees cant even do their basic job description and rely on other departments to do it for them. Management treats VPs and executives like gods allowing them to treat employees how ever they want. Interviews are full of empty promises so dont expect promotions and raises
