Pros

Supportive of progression and growth. You're able to move around the business for opportunities. Fantastic team environment and really supportive colleagues. You are asked for your opinions and pushed to express them. You're supported through training and guided in terms of career plan. There is currently a real push in terms of female retention and progression which is great to see. Regular talent reviews and training opportunities. Great employee engagement initiatives.

Cons

It's been a mixed bag in terms of managers at times, but my current one is excellent. There is a lack of consistency across the business areas sometimes, one size doesn't fit all but some standards should be throughout Kier.

Pros

Fair Pay & Benefits, Management that listen, No blame culture, Diverse teams, Welcoming and friendly, Fair performance Reviews, Opportunity to purchase Shares, Easy to use systems, Clear expectations, X2 Volunteering Days, Regular social events, Moving Through May, Management take action if or when issues arise (they don't just sit back and hope for the best) Internal promotions, career growth & learning opportunities.

Cons

IT could be better - but they are rolling out new equipment in phases. Some staff seem a little too over stretched at the moment- But I feel that's because of the growth that's happening across the business.

Micro managing is promoted, feels like higher levels do things for their own benefit rather than the benefit of their own staff at times
