Pros

Low sales pressure compared to larger commercial banks.

Cons

Low pay for branch personnel. They are a CA company but pay on a national average which obviously doesn't work with Bay Area prices. Biased pay based on who you know and not what you do. I had 5 years of personal banking experience and had to train someone who had 0 years and was making more money than me. She ultimately quit a few months later. Senior management thinks they're running a company like Apple or Google and pay themselves as such when in fact, many of them do not know very much and lack education. Right-place, right-time is the story of their success, but they have an ego as if they invented the PC.

Pros

Decent programs, good benefits. COmpany throws BBQs once a year to meet employees and lunch is brought in once in a while.

Cons

Horrible operations always seeming to pass the buck no one takes responsibility. Management doesn't respond to member complaints ever. They don't seem to want to get loans done. Below market Pay. Need more experience and operations needs a total restructure. Underwriting slow, management doesn't resolve issues. HR doesn't seem to care to respond to any complaints or issues.

Pros

Decent benefits. Pretty easy place to work. Most people seem very friendly. Low expectations. Once in awhile they will do a luncheon for cinco de mayo or a bbq in the summer.

Cons

Below market pay. Zero opportunity for career growth. Management and executives don't seem to care about important issues. Executives mostly seem like they want to earn an easy paycheck, not be bothered and treat people like children. I have seen managers constantly lie and manipulate employees. HR doesn't respond or seem to take any action when concerns are voiced.
