Pros

Generally a fun and interesting job, learnt a lot. Lots of on the field experience. Staff almost always willing to answer questions. Generally friendly staff. If you work there, you can get opportunities to travel.

Cons

No pay. No accommodation. No lunch (unless you"re posted at the rig) Corruption and nepotism in hiring. Gender bias in work (especially engineering) but that's everywhere right ??
