Pros

401K matching, Pension Plan, 4 weeks of vacation

Cons

Work Life Balance start work at 4 to 5am and get home around 8pm to 10pm you do not get to see your family, District Manager will auto ship or Management Suite items and not tell the RSR so that an extra pallet will show up at each store and make store management upset. Not paying overtime for areas that require at least 50 to 60 hours of work each week, charging us .18 cents a mile for personal use of the car to get to and from work even if we have to cover on the weekend we have to pay the company to go work for free for them. Corrupt Management that manipulates the stock price by forcing in extra product at the end of each period and each quarter to boost their bonuses while screwing us out of bonuses by giving us a very high and achievable budgeted number to hit. This company is currently being sued by current and former RSR and Territory Managers with the help of the Getman Sweeney Law firm to collect back overtime wages. This company will exploit you for free labor and take advantage of you in every way possible to try and break you they will threaten you if you do not hit the inflated sales numbers that they give you. I have to drive 950 miles each week, my territory is massive and with the small amount of labor hours i am given it is impossible to live a normal life working for this company. Kellogg is corrupt and is not reflecting the values that W. W. Kellogg implemented when he started this company many years ago. They do not care about the workers all they care about is the the stock price and manipulating it to make it look like we are selling more than we are when there are 3 plus pallets of products sitting in the back rooms of many stores that haven't even been displayed yet.

Pros

• Freedom of traveling between stores, building the business and rapport with outstanding people • Pay structure is good bonus money is excellent if your self driven with an owners mindset • Company car available for use during time off • 401K matching and pension plan • start your day when you want (busy days you can get a jump and start early slow days you can go in later) • Excellent flexibility in work schedule with plenty of days off

Cons

• Long hours 12 to 19 hour work days • sometimes Budgets are too high for a certain period or quarter • work life balance during busy times of the year can be a challenge • Many high quality and top performing Kellogg Sales Representatives will be laid off in August 2017 because they don't live in an area that fits the "geography" of the new business model

Pros

Flexible work options. Decent vacation time, based on years of services (2 weeks from hire, and adds a week every 5 years after that with a cap at 6 weeks. Ability to purchase an extra week each year during open enrollment). Company store at HQ to purchase discounted product. Corporate dress code includes jeans every day, even at HQ.

Cons

I've been with Kellogg for over a decade and have seen the Company for from the "it" place to work in Battle Creek to the laughing stock of the City. Absolutely terrible, toxic, work environment. Upper leadership is completely disconnected from their employees. Absolutely no focus on building their teams or maintaining a good morale. (My director has had exactly zero team meetings in his 1.5 years at Kellogg.) We've had so much movement on our team in the last 2 years that I don't even know who works on my team anymore. Everyone is fearful for their jobs with the amount of headcount cuts and outsourcing that's been done over the last 2 years, and looks to continue. The workload isn't changing, it's just being directed to fewer employees. I think the biggest slap in the face for employees was the elimination of an entire department here in Battle Creek, and then they were told that half the number of jobs would be opening in Grand Rapids, but they were welcome to apply. That's the nice way of saying these people were fired and had to reapply for their own jobs, with less pay/benefits.
