New Management, Terrible Policies

Pros

Kadiant itself was fine. However, the people that made it great were either laid off or quit.

Cons

-No sick time, PTO is not paid out upon separation, benefits slashed, minimum wage for drive time or other admin duties. -management is very rude to employees (cutting people off when they speak, etc). -very shady business practices. Last week, Attain laid off half the admin team with one day’s notice. This was not their first round of layoffs -intensive company censorship. Employees were not allowed to ask questions during the 2 town halls we had since the acquisition. If they don’t like what you post in an all team chat, they will delete it. They also locked the all team chat channels so employees cannot post anymore. -communication has been awful since the acquisition. Attain implements policies without telling anyone, and then they are angry when we do not follow the un-communicated policies. -Attain canceled the Diversity, Ethics, and Inclusion committee and has not reinstated it. There are currently no checks on a mostly white, most male leadership team. They do not even have a policy statement on DE&I.

A toxic company who doesn't care about its people

Pros

Great benefits, 401k match, student loan paydown, CEU reimbursement. There are so many incredible and talented team members here who have merged from many different companies. I have been able to create numerous new friendships from this acquisition.

Cons

If you want to work at a company that only cares about billable hours and the bottom line, then Kadiant is the place for you. This is a company where the CEO and his favorite leaders (all male) do not care about the mission or the values and instead expect everyone to work indecent amounts of overtime just to stay afloat. The CEO has created a culture where it’s acceptable for his “boys club” members to rise to the top and get the resources they need, while the rest of the leaders who actually work their tails off to make a difference are forced to cut their resources and are never thanked for the work they produce (which is actually making the company run). The culture here is toxic and miserable. The CEO and his crew have made decisions that now make every department work independently and only look out for themselves. These departments used to enjoy being collaborative and working together -they have taken that joy from us and have made this company a place that people dread opening their emails and going to work in the morning. I have been in this field for many years and I have never heard clinical leaders or our support teams (Ops/Training/HR) so depressed and discouraged. The companies we were at previously prior to the Kadiant acquisition never bred a horrible culture like this. We miss our old companies and our former leadership.

Pros

Kadiant provides many free CEU opportunities, bonuses for going above 25 billable hours a week, tuition reimbursement, competitive pay for both supervisors and RBTs, knowledgable executives.

Cons

Kadiant is a money forward company. Their main concern is meeting billable hours regardless of your personal situation. You could be dying and their first response would be "but will you hit your 25 billable hours this week?" When my company was first acquired by Kadiant, I was incredibly hopeful, but the culture is terrible. They value everyone's opinions to show face, but in the end, they couldn't care less about employee satisfaction. They have many "tools" in place to measure happiness and employee satisfaction, but I have yet to see any positive adjustments being made by them. They handled the COVID19 situation in an unprofessional manner as well. At first, they told everyone it was nothing to worry about as we were working in the home environment, then within 4 weeks, they were laying people off that had been with the legacy companies for longer than Kadiant has been around. This company had the potential to be great, but acquiring 10+ companies in the first year and acting like trust-fund kid was their ultimate demise.
