Pros

I enjoyed the opportunity to contribute my extensive skills obtained from many positions I have held over 40 years as a Spanish Linguist/Intelligence Analyst, and in the beginning I had great co-workers and enjoyed the teamwork.

Cons

After working successfully for many years with my advanced skill set, and at a reasonable salary, Kace attempted to coerce me into accepting a lower salary for that same position by inventing blatantly false allegations of misconduct against me, Immediately upon fabricating those false charges, they removed me from work and immediately prohibited any contact between myself and my former co-workers and prohibited my co-workers with whom I previously enjoyed excellent teamwork from contacting me, this in an obvious effort to make sure their false charges would never be questioned. This company is more interested in getting employees that are willing to work for low pay than in acquiring quality employees with greater experience. Be careful with this company!

Pros

Gain experience on investigations and get to travel

Cons

Huge micromanaging. They often don’t care about the quality of our accomodations and gaslight us if we make a complaint. They micromanage our free time by placing restraints on rental car usage limits. Work is not stable and you could sit home for a very long time inbetween projects

Pros

• Good pay with plenty of opportunities for overtime. The per diem given for food can usually let you save income relatively easily depending on how often you choose to eat out. • Opportunities to see new cities and places* if you choose to do TDY. (*Note: Due to the nature of the job, at times you will be placed in the not-so-greatest/safest locations. After a month you may have the opportunity to leave, but there is no gaurantee there will be work somewhere else.) • Rewarding when a project is seen through, especially if it took multiple months. There is a sense of fulfillment when you see the results of helping a community. • KACE will prioritize taking care of you should there be any problems with hotel bookings, flight cancelations, etc. At times you may be stuck somewhere for a few more hours, but rarely will they let you be stuck for too long.

Cons

• Little to no benefits until you've worked there for a year as a linguist. • At times you can be more or less forced to do overtime. Sometimes you're in a location that doesn't have much to do anyway so overtime is fine, but work can be very draining based on how busy or not busy each individual project is. • Inconsistencies in each project location. There is a standardized set of guidelines for you to follow for doing your work, but every place has its slight nuances in how they do things which can be frustrating at times. Team Leads may or may not nitpick your work, just depends. • The "chain of command" ladder that they insist you use. If you're not in an upper-level position you cannot speak to those above you unless you go through a Team Lead first to speak on your behalf. Often times peers in upper level positions will be rude if you try to ask even simple questions that involve you and they will tell your Team Lead to reprimand you for not going through them. • Upwards movement in the company can be very slow and who they choose often times is not based on the quality of work done. I had glowing weekly/monthly reviews for a year and was never considered to move up, but certain other workers who clearly struggle will be asked to move to Team Lead positions due to favoritism or just having the right "attitude".
