A soulless company.

Pros

Nice office. Offered snacks and coffee. A handful of very nice employees.

Cons

Management does not seem to care about its employees. Sales team gets preferential treatment over other departments. Higher-ups play favorites and let their favorites harass other employees. The general air of distress and unhappiness.

Pros

Found out what a bad CEO is like

Cons

Worst leadership I have ever had the misfortune of encountering. Farid thrives off intimidation. He is a bully. He never intends to help anyone more than he takes, customers and employees alike. He stiffs every sales person ever to swindle a poor unsuspecting customer in to a sale. He never delivers on ANYTHING from a product stand-point, does not honor promises or warranties. This company has touted well over a dozen original energy technology products over its life (since 2011) with about 0 happy customers. Complete scam artists from day 1. More products than engineers! More VPs than associates! No success!!! The only happy customers are the ones who have sued and won their money back from JLM. How can a company be 7 years old and still a start up?! Seriously reputation tarnishing to have your profession associated with this brand. Not only do they never perform, Farid treats employees like indentured servants, does not pay vacation, commission or have any reasoning for the various rounds of lay-offs, health benefits being cut off mid-month and pay cuts the employees have had to endure.

Pros

-creative product concepts -you have flexibility in your role and your methods -the vast majority of employees are great people

Cons

-We were all given temporary pay cuts due to a “cash flow problem.” The issue was magically fixed a month later. I honestly felt insulted and it seemed like there was really no need to do this. -JLM says they have a solution for every problem in the market place and it leads to a long list of products that the engineers can’t possibly keep up with. There are no where near enough resources for design, testing and troubleshooting across the whole line of products. -Customers far too often bought products that did not work properly. The support staff is always overwhelmed, so legitimate customer complaints are pushed to the side and never solved. -Many sales team members were given unrealistic commission structures. Sales efforts seemed to change direction way too often. We went into several markets even though there wasn’t a financial justification for the products.
