Pros

Work life balance is definitely the benefit of you have kids and need to get out on time friendly colleagues in office.

Cons

Too focusing on growth and never care about employees. Restructure made client service worst and no one want to hold the ball as the job was chopped up to pieces. Salary, super low, almost equal to no raise nor high bonus. Only kept hiring bankers to the Director level. Never think of other staff No management/ low quality management- never listen and only follow the direction from ex-comm. No career advancement at all.

Impressive Interview Process!!

Pros

The interview process was top notch - I did need to meet with 7 interviewers in total, but somehow it didn't feel like a pain as the arrangements were handled so professionally. It was actually a positive as I got a wider understanding of the internal stakeholders and company culture. The overall working culture is surprisingly casual (at least it surprised me) and this largely extends from the NYC HQ to our offices in Asia as well. There is a value on work-life balance but there is a dedicated team / high-performance culture however. It is a largely meritocratic team, so regardless of age and experience there are more stretch/development opportunities available for early- and mid-career staff, compared with a larger established player in the market. This benefits those that are comfortable getting out of their comfort zone, working with ambiguity, having confidence to push themselves in new ways.

Cons

Working in Asia, we do need to join a number of late night / early morning webinars. Really just a fact of life, but need to be prepared for that. The team is quite comfortable/adept at using webinar / video calls to stay in touch globally. This mostly works well but effective remote management can always be a challenge!
