Pros

Autonomy in schedule. Incredibly skilled and intelligent team.

Cons

“I was bruised and battered I couldn't tell what I felt I was unrecognizable to myself Saw my reflection in a window And didn't know my own face Oh brother are you gonna leave me wastin' away On the streets of Philadelphia?” We don’t do what we say we are doing anymore. We want to, but it’s too much too fast.

Pros

Many amazingly talented and dedicated employees that care for their participants and fellow staff.

Cons

Witnessing those same amazingly talented employees disappear from the building without explanation. Members within the C-Suite that truly believe themselves a higher class of human being and more important than their staff. The few individuals capable of enacting change have compromised their core values. As a job seeker, you should know before going into an interview that there currently exists an unprecedented amount of red flags in this organization. The CEO Approval Rating hovering in the single digits should be your first indicator. Reviewing the short tenures on several Linkedin profiles would be your next. If Glassdoor collected approval metrics further down the management hierarchy it would paint a clearer picture for applicants exactly where the problems are in this organization.

Pros

Good mission. Majority of the worker bees are quality people who work very hard and are passionate about the mission.

Cons

InnovAge’s tag line, Life on Your Terms, exudes freedom, respect and dignity. When one reflects on life and desirable terms, does he/she wish to be chained, disrespected and disposable? If so, "life on your terms" means those in authority should run amuck and belittle those beneath them. With this mindset, it’s okay to stomp on others, as long as it serves the greater good. It’s strategic to instill fear in the workplace; this is the only way to accomplish goals and keep the mission intact. It's acceptable to demoralize the staff, especially if it means that census will increase and in turn impact the bottom line. After all, numbers are important and money pays the bills, affords vacations, opens the door to a house in Napa and produces keys to a Porsche and Jaguar. So, if keeping others under one’s thumb keeps one in a desirable lifestyle and limelight (with the board of directors), then oppression is perfectly necessary, right? In life, there is indeed challenge at all levels. Yes, work and life are hard, and there are expectations and goals to be met. But, this does not mean that professionals or beings with a pulse should intentionally inflict humiliation and struggle. The human race is typically drawn to light, encouragement, hope, passion, tenacity and integrity. Once humans are filled with goodness, they can genuinely impart goodness. Goodness thrives; manipulation kills. Manipulating for one’s own gain is not gain at all. To truly lead is to unequivocally die to self.  Without a doubt, InnovAge is dead in the water. It is drenched with toxic, so-called "leaders" who absolutely don't care about anything but self, notoriety, money and power. This emotionally-challenged group will tear you to pieces and lick their lips. They are not running a business, they are reliving high school. At InnovAge, life is NOT on your terms. The tag line should be "Life on THEIR Terms". Do not be fooled by their sticky sweet smiles and highfalutin vocabulary. In this small-minded, twisted world, those smiles dripped in honey very quickly morph into a dull, aching knife in your back.  If you are considering investing---in any way shape or form---in InnovAge, think again. If you value what is good in life, look beyond InnovAge to a place where people reign with dignity...a place where freedom is truly respected.
