False advertising and fake reviews - Impala Services & spin-off companies
Pros
- Some colleagues are genuinely talented and dedicated, which makes it a bit easier to navigate the otherwise challenging environment. - Opportunities for learning about new technologies, although these are limited and often not applicable to our actual work. - Flexible work hours in theory, but the reality is that the workload often makes it hard to take advantage of this.
Cons
- Not many good aspects to highlight. The work environment is cold and hostile, making collaboration difficult. - Micromanaging. - Close to zero company growth opportunities. - There’s a significant disconnect between the company's advertised values and the reality. The fake online advertisements and fake user reviews create a misleading impression. - Salaries are poor compared to industry standards, leaving many employees feeling undervalued and unmotivated. - The company does not provide what workers need to succeed, often forcing us to use software that is either still in development or doesn't function properly. - Overemphasis on AI without considering the practical implications and challenges it brings to our day-to-day tasks. - There's a level of hypocrisy in leadership when it comes to promoting a positive workplace culture while failing to address the real issues employees face. Overall, I would not recommend working at Impala Services (nor their spin-off projects) unless significant changes are made to improve the work environment and employee satisfaction.
