      High levels of autonomy. Interesting area (financial market research) to work in.

      Cons

      Company is run as a bit of a hobby for the founder. Management of information technology supporting the business is very poor.

      Able to see how a small firm can penny pinch and squeeze the most out of an employee

      Cons

      The management is cheap and will look to reduce your salary and benefits. You have outdated computers. Management is not interested in putting any more money into the business. It is privately held by a family.
