Hyundai America Technical Center reviews about "communication"

Poor communication between English and Korean leadership, convoluted chains of command, consisently losing the best employees to better paying auto companies.

Bogged down in micromanagement. Started looking for a new job within 4 months of hiring on. Upper level does not trust their employees to do anything on their own. Expect to be hovered over and make senseless edits and reviews. They work in power point for all reporting, it's a mess. Another review mentioned employees not even knowing why they are there and would highly agree. They could hire monkeys to do the work they are seeking for engineers. No innovation happening at HATCI. No room for upward movement in the company. Lack of communication between Korea and U.S. as well as american managers being downright disrespectful to their foreign counterparts. They are even disrespectful to their own managers from Korea and you can feel the frustration from Korean counterparts. Work here if you want to hate your job otherwise work somewhere else. Do not believe that this space is in Ann Arbor. It is in Ypsilanti, MI and is a horrid location.

Don’t expect much in compensation Communication with Korean headquarters isn’t the best

Communication with colleagues in Korea can be limited if you are not fluent in the Korean language. Some of the test drivers aren't very bright which can make the job difficult at times.

Being in the middle of nowhere if your not into that. Could use more structured leadership from management. Often deal with communication issues from Korean team

Pay is below market Dealing with the internal corporation departments like IT and HR is slow and there communication is not great or concise
