IT and PMs career killer

Pros

Few good people that try to make it a nice place to work. Cannot think of anything else to post. Holidays are good, but expect to work very long hours.

Cons

Management that does not understand process. IT management with no IT background. Only big words and no support from the management. If you are in IT or Project/program management do not consider Hussmann. Terrible benefits, stress levels are high. Departments and plants hate each other and do not work together.

Pros

Relatively laid back atmosphere. Now a wing of Panasonic so benefits are pretty decent.

Cons

Not competitive in the least when it comes to compensation, blatant favoritism, gaslighting, no room for advancement. They will tell you whatever they can to get you to think you have a chance and then just kick their feet when annual reviews come around. Extremely frustrating.

A laughably depressing place

Pros

Offers good starting vacation time and has a good holiday schedule. Work/life balance is okay.

Cons

Benefits get worse every year. Very old school company that has a very top-down approach. Management is a joke, as well as the culture. This place does not make people excited, passionate, or motivated to do well and to grow themselves in their career. It's a very depressing old school culture that refuses to commit to the change that will be necessary down the road. No one wants to look outside the box or embrace the future, and the few people there that do are quickly shut down. While there, I felt judged based on my gender and age, and I have never felt so intellectually and creatively suppressed in a work place ever. No one seems happy to work there--employees are resentful, disgruntled, and go in day in and day out without any desire to grow the company or themselves. It is not an environment that inspires whatsoever. Unfortunately, every time they have hired someone really talented and good for the company, they quickly lost that person due to the horrible culture. My advice? Slowly turn around, walk the other direction quickly, and never look back.
