The progress in company depends on your relationship with your regional director. There is huge favouritism. Your progress doesn't depends on how much you know and how much you deliver. If you know a lot management are going to overload you with a work and some other people will take the benefits. I have witnessed that some people have got 2 times pay rise and promotion within less then a year. Also they don't have tight deadlines and their workload is not big. They book most of the time on meetings without any outcome.
