4yAt Hg we have built our business by building businesses.
This is our mission, and we have spent more than two decades growing more than one hundred technology companies, many of which have scaled to be 10x the size as when we first became a shareholder…and continuing to grow.
We achieve this through a deep bond with our investee companies, where we provide considerable operational support for their development and bring a deep focus on responsibility, with recognition of our efforts towards wider business issues such as D&I and ESG – at Hg and also across our portfolio.
Put simply, it is impossible to achieve this through a cost cutting strategy. This is not what we’re about and Hg sees consistent employee growth each year, most notably 17% growth in portfolio employees in the last 12 months, following a volatile period due to COVID-19.
