The core Executive Committee is a joke. There is little hotel experience (other than this hotel), and therefore, they don't understand reality. The talk a big talk during the interview that things can and should change, however, that is not reality, they really don't want anything to change, they want it to stay the old fashioned way of doing work, the harder, longer way. There are lots of secrets in the upper management. That includes keeping your core job role a secret from you, then you are to blame when things don't work the way they want it. There is no compassion for personal circumstances (weather, family, etc.). HR is a joke, if you go to them for advice/help, they inform your direct report of your issues, and then you are on their bad side. There are roaches all over the employee break room. The hotel is NOT Forbes 5 Star quality, and I am in disbelief how they continue to get this rating every year. I would warn anyone to NOT apply or accept a job from this hotel.
