Pros

I really enjoy this remote working model. It not only saves a lot of commuting time but also provides a great deal of freedom to some extent. (However, this model is more suitable for colleagues who are self-driven.) The overall company culture and atmosphere are very friendly, and there is no pressure when getting along with colleagues.

Cons

Even though I enjoy the remote work model, I think it’s also necessary to meet regularly. The effectiveness of in-person meetings is far better than online meetings. Additionally, in-person meetings often spark many new ideas, and everyone can focus their collective energy on accomplishing something truly important.

We completely agree that in-person meetings can be highly effective, and we aim to provide opportunities for our remote employees to meet face-to-face. Apart from our end-of-year dinner, we also organise physical meet-ups every six months, whether through summer parties, offsite rotations, or other team events. For teams that require more regular in-person interaction, we facilitate quarterly visits to our SG (APAC HQ) to collaborate and connect.
