Truth to it all

Pros

Many companies say that they value work/life balance. HLC lives it out every day. Under the new leadership (2019), family truly comes first. HLC is progressive in its thinking and is innovating to ensure that it remains relevant and thrives in the changing marketplace.

Cons

As an employee who has been at HLC since the "good old days", I will attest to the truth in some of the bad reviews that exist on this page. However, a new day has turned. In fact, we might be living the new good old days as we speak. I love getting up and going to work each day, and while we could all likely make more money in another industry, there is something about the bicycle business that just feels right.

Lack of employee support

Pros

Nice people to work with

Cons

Too many long time qualified people let go. Directors have little experience with hands on bike shop experience and only focus on keeping the top brass happy.

Pros

They care about their employees, and have adapted quickly to the pandemic with most employees working from home.

Cons

Work can keep you quite busy due to the pandemic
