Pros

Decent benefits, room for advancement, pay is higher range for an officer, room to switch accounts if needed. My interaction with my manager was great, though this can vary so much.

Cons

The biggest con is the range of experiences a person can have at Guardsmark. You can get stuck at a bad account or with a bad manager. Some of the policies and procedures are well behind the times. The owner tries to maintain to much control.

Pros

Easy work and co-workers. Plenty of opportunity for overtime.

Cons

Bad pay and hours can be a pain. No room for advancement would only recommend to those who are retired or students.

Pros

It was good for going to college. My boss was pretty cool and flexible with scheduling.

Cons

The pay wasn't enough to justify being talked down to by upper management in Portland. They treat employees like they are stupid, broke laws, and then get upset if you complain to someone above them. Absolutely no room for advancement and if you are a rural site they will ignore everything you say.

Pros

None at all. This job was the worst I would give a pro but there simply wasn't one. Ok here's one.... Nope can't find one !!!!

Cons

No vacation unless u found the person to cover. The bosses had bad attitudes. Terrible pay for the job that was required. Never supplied me with correct uniform to work in the elements. Always looking to catch you doing things wrong. Moral was terrible because of the bosses. No room for advancement. This job again was horrible.

Pros

You get paid in time, after a year of employment you get a paid vacation.

Cons

The work site sucks, no weekends off, managers and supervisors are the worst I have ever worked with. No room for advancement, no raises.

Pros

This company has a number of clients in which they provide security services too. This gives you a little more variety in choosing where you would feel comfortable working. If you perform your duties and do your job, you will be ok.

Cons

The company pays everyone something different. Some people make as low as 8.75 and some make 12.50 at the same client location. Little to no room for advancement. Uniforms are also hard to come by. There is no sick pay. The company used to provide free health insurance to its employees but that is no longer the case.

Pros

If you do your job, you can pretty much get the schedule you want. The work is not hard. They do pay more than minimum wage. Sometimes you can get overtime.

Cons

There is not much room for advancement, position or pay wise. You have to keep an eye on your check for mistakes. You may have to fight for vacation or raises. The hiring process is ridiculously long due to HR's incompetence.
