They really got me in the interview. They all drank the koolaid and I fell for it.
Salaries are lower than the market. They don't keep pace as the market does.
They make a whole lot of being part of a "family". I never felt so out of touch with co-workers. I never knew who anyone was if they weren't part of development.
Health benefits aren't good or bad. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Almost every employer pays what they pay for your health insurance.
PTO is OK, if you can get the time to take it.
Telework needs improving. You're a technology company, writing software for crying out loud. If you didn't micromanage everyone and let them do their jobs maybe you would be OK with more telework. Paul Toomey though, can't seem to get that through his head.
Bonus money is weird. It's a good way to not give bonus money out, Ask about it during your interview.
Very flat management. There's you, a team lead, a manager then the owner. No room for advancement.
