A great place to learn

Pros

They have their own soil testing laboratory for both geotechnical and material testing. You can spend time in the laboratory and learn about all geotechnical laboratory testing. The project engineers are very knowledgeable and experienced, as a staff engineer there is a lot that can be learned from them. If you show interest in learning something specific, they will work with you to make it happen. The office environment is very friendly and informal. Conversations and meetings with the higher engineers are casual and very approachable.

Cons

No yearly bonuses No paid overtime for salary employees It is very easy to be overworked

Pros

Outstanding work environment! Bosses are funny and very outgoing. Nothing like other engineering firms, the office environment is very high energy. Women and men are treated equal here which I love. And you can approach anyone with questions and problems.

Cons

The only thing I would like to see changed is the path to management, there is no clear way to advance in the company. Its talked about but I would like to set goals as a young professional and have a mentor for accomplishing them, not just simply waiting until I can qualify for my PG.
