Pros

Many inspiring, impassioned people working here albeit under very unfortunate management and CEO. It's a great place to work for some, but heavily dependent on the team. Some teams aren't around the BS. Also, it's a paycheck. And you get insurance & a 401k match.

Cons

If you want to kill your creative spirit, work here! They have a terrible reputation locally AND in the industry. If Gaia customers only knew how fraudulent they are, how shady the company is, and how they run their business... All they care about is the bottom line, to profit off the mindful movement. They'll woo you with their mission, management will deliver an inspiring speech, and you'll be enticed to work here because you're "changing the world". But it's one of the least mindful companies out there. Most employees leave on terrible terms. Highlights: Bad energy in office, fear-mongering, "butts in seats" mentality, you will be a puppet, high employee turnover, lots of ego..and for what?, you will probably be fired if you don't believe in conspiracy theories About that lifestyle video they put on here... Basically, the CEO said "make a video asap about how great we are". Nobody wanted to speak in it. It's fake propaganda.

Pros

The cafeteria is awesome and the location is pretty good. That's about it.

Cons

Where do I begin.... They lure you in with promises of equity in the company that they then never deliver on. They're supposed to support this so-called enlightened lifestyle but treat their employees like crap. The company president will lie to your face and stab you in the back at the first opportunity. If you're at all critical of the crazy content like Seeking Truth or Wisdom Teachings they will put a target on your back to get rid of you as soon as possible. They're also good at toeing the line between wildly inappropriate to just this side of legal in the performance review. They want you to tell them your affinity for the content, basically they want you to be part of their cult and if you're not then you're out. If you're an engineer they will work you into the ground. The hiring process means they can never hire help for you when you ask for it. The silos of responsibility mean that if you're on your own then you can't ever really take a vacation. Rather than spend money on things that will help their employees they'd rather buy giant crystals to put in the lobby.
